PartyPoker Offering 25 Aussie Milllions Prize Packages, by Jessica Welman - 12th December 2009
Ever since the popular online poker room PartyPoker signed 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event winner Stewart Scott as one of its sponsored pros, it has gone out of its way to promote both online and brick and mortar poker in Australia.
This weekend, PartyPoker is offering players a chance to win one of 25 seats in the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event for just $600. On Sunday, December 13th, the site will host two separate online satellites, one for citizens of Australia and New Zealand and one that is open to the rest of the PartyPoker customer base. Both will feature a $600 + $40 buy-in, although many players will have won their way into the tournaments for much less since the site has been running micro-satellites.
The Aussie-only tournament will give away five tournament packages, each valued at $12,000. The package includes buy-in to the AUD $10,000 Aussie Millions Main Event, hotel accommodations at the Crown Promenade in Melbourne, and $500 to be put towards travel expenses. The tournament will begin at 2:45am ET.
The open field tournament will get underway a little later in the day at 2:30pm ET. It will reward seats to the top 20 finishers and offer a slightly more lucrative version of the Aussie Millions prize package. In addition to the buy-in and the hotel accommodations, the package will also include $3,500 to cover travel expenses. Should a non-Aussie take part in the early tournament, PartyPoker will not offer any additional money to cover travel expenses. Conversely, if a player from Australia or New Zealand wins one of the $15,000 packages, they will still receive the full $3,500 to cover travel.
Stewart Scott commented on the satellite tournaments in an official statement from PartyPoker: “I’ve been playing at PartyPoker.com for five years. These great packages are an amazing opportunity for other players to play in this huge tournament. Claiming the Aussie Millions title has been the highlight of my career and I’d love to see another PartyPoker.com player take the title.”
PartyPoker gave away 96 seats to the Aussie Millions in November as part of the site’s Gladiator promotion. The players who earned at least 1,000 PartyPoints each day in November won their way into the event and the site doled out even more seats as part of a series of online tournaments featuring Scott.
Scott is the reigning Aussie Millions Champion and the first local player to win the tournament since it took on its new moniker and became one of the premiere events on the international tournament circuit. In January, Scott defeated a field of 681 players to take down the AUD $2 million first place prize. Peter Rho of Las Vegas finished in second place and earned AUD $1 million. Other past winners of the Aussie Millions include Alexander Kostritsyn of Russia and Team Full Tilt member Gus Hansen. Last year’s event also played home to one of the biggest live cash games in history with a minimum buy-in of AUD $1 million.
The previous Aussie Millions event boasted a guaranteed first place prize of AUD $2 million. The Crown Casino is expecting an even larger turnout than 2009 and the tournament’s official website is predicting more than 800 runners in the upcoming Main Event. There will also be a host of side events, including an AUD $100,000 buy-in High Rollers Event, a Heads-Up Event, and several Pot Limit Omaha events. In total, the Crown will offer 20 different tournaments from January 14th to 31st, including the Main Event, which will run from January 24th to 30th. (Credit: Poker News Daily)

Game's growth has been great, and it'll only get bigger, by Joe Hachem - 5th December 2009
With the grand final of the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tournament (APPT) rolling into Sydney this week attracting poker players from across the world to the Star City's brand-new poker room, it's an interesting time to reflect on how far poker has come in Australia.
Just 23 years ago there was no poker being played in casinos in this country. As one of the most high-profile and high-stakes casino games, poker is now so prevalent in Australian casinos that it's difficult to believe that it only first hit the floors in 1987.
Even Crown Casino, widely regarded as having the premier poker rooms in this country, only introduced the game in 1997.
Obviously we are yet to reach the heights of popularity that the sport has achieved in America, where every major tournament is televised and attracts thousands of live spectators, but the popularity and the competitors continue to grow.
For a professional player, I always hope we'll get to that point. The growth so far has been satisfying as the standard of the events available in Australia continue to improve, as we attract more international talent as well as retaining our best home-grown players.
I believe the popularity and exposure has come from the internet in the past eight years, as online poker is a great way to learn, polish your game, and even compete in some serious tournaments.
This has led to a culture of amateur and professional poker players coming home from work to practice a few hands, or squeezing in a turbo play game during their lunch break. It's made poker accessible, fun and fast for a wealth of people who may never have considered stepping into a casino.
Once players do make the move from online to live it's the tournament that is king. Australia's tournaments just keep getting better and better. We are finally boasting a schedule of tournaments throughout the year that can hold their head up among the internationals and give a professional a serious challenge. From the Aussie Millions and this weekend's Pokerstars.net APPT, (the largest poker tour in the region) to smaller events that still offer a genuine challenge like the ANZPT, a professional player could quite happily now play a full season in this country and boast an impressive record of events.
For the past two years an Australian has won the PokerStars.net APPT - in 2007 Sydneysider Grant Levy became the first Aussie to win a million dollars on home soil, then in 2008 another Sydney boy, Martin Rowe, repeated the feat.
I'm hoping that the improved tournaments will continue to nurture local talent, so I hope to be there at the final table taking place on stage in the Star City Sports Bar with full viewing capabilities, tomorrow. With more great local wins, more impressive local talent, more people throwing their support behind the scene and more challenging and exciting tournaments, who knows where we'll be in another 20 years.
Until next week, pass the sugar.

PartyPoker Wins Poker Operator Of The Year, by Greg Tingle - 1st December 2009
PartyGaming flagship poker brand, PartyPoker.com has won Poker operator of the year at the EGR awards, the premier industry awards for the online gaming sector.
PartyGaming poker director Moshe Davidovich said "We work very hard to try and stay ahead of the game, and it's great to be noticed for that."
PartyPoker.com is the biggest non-US stand alone poker site in online gaming.
Media Man understands that PartyGaming's successful purchase of Club World Poker Tour was instrumental in PartyPoker's EGR win. Media Man does some business with a number of PartyGaming brands, as they do with dozens of other companies in the gaming b2b sector.
PartyPoker.com is the PartyGaming flagship brand, followed by its online casino flagship PartyCasino.com.
Party is currently looking to ramp up its offerings in the U.S sector following its purchase of the World Poker Tour and is exploring opportunities in Australia, France, India, and South America. PartyGaming's PartyCasino and PartyPoker In Line For More Awards, by Greg Tingle - 12th November 2009
As we head towards the end of 2009 and the igaming industry remains as competitive as ever, it shouldn't surprise anyone, punter, newbie or industry veteran, that PartyGaming and its PartyCasino and PartyPoker brands are in line for more industry awards and commendations.
PartyGaming remains the world’s leading listed online gaming company. Founded in 1997, the
Group has its shares listed on The London Stock Exchange.
Coming off a wave of momentum with its successful purchase of World Poker Tour (WPT Enterprises) last week, Cashcade a number of months ago, and the release of a swag of new slot games, the company is tipped to continue domination of the gaming and igaming world.
Party's awards and commendations include eGaming Review Operator Of The Year, Socially Responsible Operator Of The Year and Media Man - Casino News Media Online Casino Of The Month (numerous times).
The company also achieved inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series.
As the company looks forward to the new year they look to continue innovation, value for money, world class service, and growth into new geographic regions including South America, Indian, France and the Asia Pacific.
PartyGaming will continue to revamp its websites including it's ever growing PartyCasino.com site, thanks to the frequent games being added and its newly acquired Club WPT website, certain to have a more PartyGaming look and feel being added in the coming months.
PartyGaming is poised to make more inroads into the United States coming off the back of its purchase of WPT Enterprises (U.S residents can play online poker on the Club World Poker Tour website without potential legal complications) and PartyPoker.com and World Poker Tour ambassador, Mike Sexton, has just been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and had nothing but praise for the PartyGaming family.
*the writer has a b2b relationship with a number of PartyGaming brands, as they do with dozens of other brands in the gaming and igaming world.

THE AMBASSADOR OF POKER GETS WHAT HE DESERVES! CONGRATULATIONS TO MIKE SEXTON ON INDUCTION INTO POKER'S HALL OF FAME
London – 15th October 2009 – PartyPoker.com ambassador and World Poker Tour announcer Mike Sexton has deservedly been inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
For the first time in the history of the Poker Hall of Fame, the early stage of the nomination process was open to the general public and a mass of prominent figures in the game all publicly declared their support for Mike. The Ambassador of Poker is currently playing the final table at the PartyPoker.com World Open V in London.
Sexton said: “I am deeply honored to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame and it is particularly special because for the first time it was a process that involved the fans, the media and the living members of the hall of fame. To me the most meaningful aspect of this process was the acceptance by the living hall of famers who welcomed me into their exclusive club.”
Mike Sexton acts as a host, consultant, ambassador and player for PartyPoker.com and the online poker room will holding a special celebratory $10,000 freeroll on the 7th November, the day Mike is inducted.
Sexton needs little introduction and is unarguably one of the most respected figures in the game. As the face and voice of the World Poker Tour and holder of a WSOP bracelet, Mike is truly one of the games pioneers. Sexton is in the top ten for the most cashes at the World Series of Poker and is instantly recognizable to all poker enthusiasts. Regarded as ‘The Ambassador of Poker,’ for years Mike advocated corporate involvement with poker to take the game he loves into the mainstream.
Notably, Sexton also won the first $10k buy-in NL hold'em championship event at Foxwoods World Poker Finals in 1992 and in 2000 was the first American to win the championship event at the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris, which at the time was the biggest event in Europe. Through his role with the World Poker Tour Mike brought the game to millions around the world. In 2006 Sexton won the Tournament of Champions at the World Series of Poker, a concept he had originally created. He donated $500,000 of his winnings to charity and has since become a co-founder of http://www.pokergives.org/, which encourages players to make charitable donations.
The Poker Hall of Fame was established in 1979. Its membership includes poker's most influential players and other important contributors to the game. There are 16 living members, and to date 37 members have been bestowed the honour of entry. The WSOP Hall of Fame traditionally elects one or two new members annually. The enshrinement ceremony is now held during the final table of the Main Event of the WSOP. The criteria for selection was as follows:
A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
Played for high stakes
Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
Stood the test of time
Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results
Amongst those who publicly endorsed Mike Sexton included Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein. Below are some of the submissions players and figures made about Mike:
Annette Obrestad. “I may be from a different generation of poker players to Mike but in my mind he deserves induction into poker’s hall of fame this year.”
Erik Seidel: “Next up should be Mike Sexton. He has some impressive accomplishments as a player, he won the Tournament of Champions in 06', the European Heads Up, and is one of the leaders in WSOP cashes including one bracelet. If I'm not mistaken he also won the 1st 10k event at Foxwoods as well. I can't think of anyone though who has contributed more to the growth of the game then Mike and that's why he should be the next inductee. As the WPT's announcer he is the guy who introduced no limit poker to millions of people, and who explained it in a way that drew them in and got them interested. I meet people all the time who don't even play poker but watch the WPT because he manages to keep it exciting for everyone. People can tell his enthusiasm is real, Mike loves poker and fortunately is able to translate that for the viewer. He deserves huge credit too for the growth of the online game. As a consultant for PartyPoker he helped the online game get started and helped Party create the biggest poker site in the world. Party was just another poker site until Mike's commercials on the WPT started running, then overnight the numbers doubled, tripled and very quickly they became the largest site poker has ever seen. He is one of the best ambassadors poker has ever seen and I hope he is on deck for admission in 09’.”
Poker’s ‘Professor’ Howard Lederer: "More than any single poker player, Mike Sexton promoted the game of poker throughout the '90s and into this decade. He had a singular belief in the game as something that could be much bigger. Every poker player owes a great debt of thanks to Mike for helping to extend poker to places we could have never imagined before."
Celebrity Apprentice runner-up Annie Duke: “There is quite possibly no single individual who did more to mainstream poker and grow the game than Mike Sexton. During the 90’s , when tournament poker was still an obscure, insular world, Mike always believed in and promoted what poker could become even as many of us remained steadfast in our skepticism. Mike saw the potential for the game and never gave up in his promotion of it and for that we should all be deeply grateful.”
Steve Lipscomb -- “I would support Mike Sexton for president, much less induction into the Poker Hall of Fame. Mike is the consummate face of poker. He was making poker mainstream before it had a prayer of being mainstream. He helped launch the World Poker Tour – which changed the poker world forever. Then, he convinced the World Poker Tour to put PartyPoker on the Tour in season one – which changed the poker world again forever. His commitment and love for the game -- which is evidenced every time he appears on-screen in a World Poker Tour episode -- is part of what has transformed this great game into the first-ever global aspirational sport. Let’s get the man into the Poker Hall of Fame!”
Des Wilson -- “Having spent a number of years studying the history of the game, I can think of nobody more deserving than Mike Sexton to be in the hall of fame and urge everyone else to support him. He is more than a great player - he is, and has been for many years, an outstanding ambassador for the game.”
The First Lady of Poker Linda Johnson: “I nominate Mike Sexton for the 2009 Poker Hall of Fame. I can't think of anyone who has done more for the poker industry than Mike. He has exhibited tremendous skills as a poker player and incredible vision in his ability to market the poker world. Mike is the best poker commentator in the world and is a household name to millions of players. He is generous, hard working, and donates his time and money to many various charities. Mike is a role model to all poker players and is very deserving of being inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.”
Recent inductee into the Women’s Hall of Fame Jan Fisher: “I've known Mike Sexton for nearly 30 years. During this time, Mike has always worked hard to promote poker. His stellar reputation speaks for itself. One of the true good guys in poker, no one deserves this honor at this time more than Sexton. I've worked on both sides of the tables, and I believe that Mike is a role model for the poker industry. I am proud and honored to call him my friend.”
From the famous poker family, Todd Brunson: “Mike Sexton helped take poker to a level never before achieved and without him we would not be seeing the prize pools we have today. We all owe Mike our most sincere gratitude and appreciation."
Padraig Parkinson: “I thought that Mike was nuts when he shared his vision of where we were going with me but never for a second doubted that he was the man to lead us there. Unusually for me, I was right.”
Leading Tournament Director Matt Savage: “Mike Sexton should be a slam dunk, not only for the over 40 WSOP cashes but especially for the work he has done to promote the world's greatest game. Poker would not be where it is today without the ambassador work that Mike has done.”
Irish Open Tournament Director Liam Flood: "I have known Mike for 25 years and I have always found him to be a true gentleman. He is the best ambassador poker could ever have. Whether it be in Las Vegas, Paris or Dublin he is always the same and is always prepared to listen to anybody about the game he loves."
WSOP bracelet winner and Asian Poker Tour ambassador Steve Sung: “The first poker commentators’ voice I ever heard was Mike Sexton. The man’s a legend – get him into the Poker Hall of Fame.”
Top professional David Williams: “Mike Sexton is a true professional and I wholeheartedly believe that he should enter Poker’s Hall of Fame this year.”
Top professional Roland De Wolfe: “He is a personality and voice that has opened the game up to new people. He is a component of poker's story and a significant part of poker history.”
Amongst the most recent inductees include Henry Orenstein, Dewey Tomko, Phil Hellmuth, Barbara Enright, TJ Cloutier, Bobby Baldwin, Johnny Chan and Lyle Berman. Doyle Brunson was given Hall of Fame status in 1987. Once the public has voted the top ten among consideration are announced during the Main Event. It then goes to a committee stage in August and then a secret ballot of living Hall of Famers in September. In addition, a select group of media members were sent a ballot for ranking the finalists.

Asia Pacific Poker Tour, Auckland, New Zealand
The SkyCity Casino in Auckland hosted the third event of Asia Pacific Poker Tour Season 2, and it was Kiwi Daniel Craker, who qualified for just $80 in the last live satellite, who walked away with the title and prize money. The room was packed with spectators as the thrilling tournament played out, and there was plenty of local representation at the final table, and a Trans-Tasman battle was joined as Craker faced down Australian Matthew Konnecke heads-up. That battle was a short one however, as both players were all-in on only the second hand. Craker’s pair of deuces was up against Konnecke’s A-9, and the deuces held to give Craker NZD$257,040 and the title.

PartyPoker Million Dollar Hand Returns, by Tom Jenkins - Poker News Daily - 5th October 2009
Starting today, customers on PartyPoker can take advantage of the Million Dollar Hand, a popular promotion that is back due to its resounding success. Up to $1 million is at stake for each five-card hand collected on the site.
The Million Dollar Hand returned this morning on PartyPoker amid much fanfare and will conclude at 11:59pm ET on October 30th. In order to participate, PartyPoker players must collect cards. They’ll receive one for every 15 PartyPoints they generate and cards can be viewed by logging into a player’s PartyPoker account. Once a player makes a five-card poker hand, they’ll see if they won. Only one pair is required to receive a cash prize and a maximum of two hands can be revealed each day, or 52 throughout the length of the promotion.
The $1 million grand prize will be dished out if a player manages to make a royal flush with their final five-card hand. A straight flush pays $10,000, four of a kind pays $1,000, a full house pays $150, a flush pays $100, a straight pays $50, three of a kind pays $20, two pair pays $10, and one pair, regardless of rank, pays $3. Each player has already been given their first card for free and, once again, it can be revealed by heading to their Party Account. Last time out, no royal flushes were awarded.
PartyPoints are not removed from a player’s account in order to receive cards for the Million Dollar Hand. A spokesperson from PartyPoker commented in a press release distributed by the online poker room, “The Million Dollar Hand is underway and already thousands of cards have been revealed. The question remains – will the big one hit this time around? We’ve seen straight flushes and scared the insurers, but nobody has hit the royal… yet! The Million Dollar Hand also provides great extra value for members of the Palladium Lounge through the VIP Race.”
Palladium Lounge members can participate in a separate $100,000 Million Dollar Hand VIP Race. They’ll earn PartyPoints and Million Dollar Hand cards as normal, but will also accrue points towards the VIP Race. First place at the end of the promotion will take home a $13,000 Aussie Millions prize package. The Main Event of the prestigious tournament series, one of Oceania’s largest, begins on January 24th with the first of three starting days. The 2010 Aussie Millions crowns a champion on January 30th. All cash prizes won during the Million Dollar Hand will be deposited within one hour of cards being revealed.
Elsewhere on PartyPoker, sebstop took down the October installment of the Monthly Million, a $640 buy-in tournament held yesterday. First place was worth a healthy $200,000. Heads-up, sebstop defeated tommo662, who walked away $110,000 richer for his wear. Others who reached the top 10 in the October running of the PartyPoker Monthly Million included Supilami928 (third place for $69,000), DontGetLemon (fourth place for $54,500), DcHustler7 (fifth place for $46,000), yong_yong999 (sixth place for $34,500), p00cket00 (seventh place for $26,500), NoFknSnLeft (eighth place for $17,500), brogba84 (ninth place for $13,500), and franic (tenth place for $9,500). A total of 1,476 players turned out, with 200 finishing in the money.
The Monthly Million is held on the first Sunday of every month on the virtual felts of PartyPoker, with the next running scheduled for November 1st at 12:45pm ET. As with many PartyPoker tournaments, there are several affordable ways to qualify into the Monthly Million, starting at $1. PartyPoker is an independent site that does not accept customers from the United States and boasts World Poker Tour (WPT) Host and 2009 Poker Hall of Fame nominee Mike Sexton as its ambassador. Joe Hachem, Jeffrey Lisandro Featured on WSOP on ESPN Coverage, by Dan Cypra - Poker News Daily - 16th September 2009
Day 3 of the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event hit television airwaves on ESPN on Tuesday night, with two hours of coverage dedicated to the festivities. Seated at the feature table were two Aussies, Joe Hachem and Jeffrey Lisandro.
Lisandro became the fifth player in WSOP history to take home three bracelets in a year and has logged 29 cashes since 2004. Hachem took down the 2005 Main Event and ignited a poker boom of his own in Australia. Joining the duo from Down Under was George Hardie, the former owner of the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. On the first hand, Lisandro raised to 3,600 with pocket eights and, after peeking down at pocket queens, Hachem made it 9,600. Lisandro called to see a flop of 10-4-2. Lisandro checked, Hachem bet 16,000, and Lisandro quickly released his hand, igniting chants of “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!”
ESPN announcer Norman Chad commented that, while Phil Ivey remains his perennial pick to win the WSOP Main Event, Lisandro’s heroics in 2009 make him a close second: “Let’s assume that aliens come down and lure Phil Ivey away to a cash game mother ship, then I must turn to Jeffrey Lisandro.” Ville Wahlbeck was the only player remaining in the field that could catch Lisandro for WSOP Player of the Year honors. However, he’d need a seventh place finish or better in order to do so. Wahlbeck was seated at Table Two during the 8:00pm ET episode alongside Kenny Tran.
Also found in the field were Ivey and Phil Hellmuth. “The Poker Brat” found that one of his tablemates, Lauchlin McKinnon, did not want to shake his hand. Instead, his opponent told Hellmuth, “I don’t respect anything you do. I think you’re a complete prick.” Hellmuth joked, “I think this is going to be a good day.” Elsewhere in the Amazon Room, Bodog pro Jean-Robert Bellande pushed with A-10 of diamonds for 20 big blinds and rivered a flush to double up. Chad labeled him a “survivor,” a reference to his appearance on the China installment of the CBS reality franchise.
Kent Senter, who is undergoing stem cell treatment for an incurable form of cancer, was all-in with pocket tens against Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier’s pocket jacks. The board ran out K-5-3-3-5, giving Grospellier the win and sending Senter home. He was met with a herd of television cameras upon his departure. Grospellier is a PokerStars pro; his site began sponsoring chip count leaderboard graphics on Tuesday night on ESPN.
The “Straight from the Pros” segment featured Daniel Negreanu battling against Sammy Farha in a hand during the 2005 WSOP Main Event. Negreanu folded a straight after a third spade hit the river to give Farha a flush. Negreanu, the captain of the Team Americas squad that will compete in the Caesars Cup, told ESPN cameras, “He’s either bluffing here or I’m dead.”
Negreanu’s comrade on Team PokerStars Pro, Hachem, was featured in the Jack Link’s Beef Jerky Wild Card Hand, in which the cards of one player are not shown so the audience can play along at home. Hachem raised to 4,100 pre-flop with the Wild Card hand and Claus Nielsen called with pocket threes. The flop came 8-2-5 and Nielsen checked. Hachem fired out a bet of 6,200 and Nielsen made the call. The turn was a deuce and Nielsen put in a check-raise to 32,000, causing Hachem to relinquish K-Q.
Also in the field was former November Nine member Dennis Phillips, who relived tossing out the first pitch at a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. However, he wound up throwing the ball directly at the ground. Wahlbeck then hit the skids after running pocket queens into pocket kings, leading to an announcement from WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack that Lisandro had claimed Player of the Year honors. Ivey then moved to Grospellier’s table, leaving Chad to remark, “Poker’s superpowers clash.”
The second episode of Tuesday night kicked off at 9:00pm ET and continued coverage of Day 3 of the 2009 WSOP Main Event. David “Devilfish” Ulliott joined the cast at Table Two, while Hellmuth found himself flanking Josh Arieh. Former Main Event winners Peter Eastgate (2008), Greg Raymer (2004), Dan Harrington (1995), Hachem (2005), and Hellmuth (1989) all remained alive to begin the episode, but Raymer quickly found himself on the sidelines after running pocket tens into pocket aces.
Lunkin doubled up after rivering a straight, causing Chad to lament, “I know Lunkin has played good, but I can’t tell you how ridiculously good he’s run. He should be halfway back to Moscow on an Aeroflot flight in coach.” Meanwhile, Nielsen bet out on an ace-high board after raising pre-flop with just 8-4. However, Hachem laid down pocket queens and Lisandro released pocket kings, giving the pot to Nielsen.
The Full Tilt Poker sponsored segment “Deal Me In” featured Howard Lederer taking on Hellmuth in a hand from the 2004 WSOP Tournament of Champions, which was ultimately won by Poker News Daily Guest Columnist Annie Duke.
Hevad Khan cheerily smiled at ESPN cameras, leading to the following comment from announcer Lon McEachern: “That’s the first real sign of life from him we’ve seen in two years.” Khan finished sixth in the 2007 WSOP Main Event. His lively antics resulted in the “Hevad Khan rule” against excessive player celebrations. Elsewhere in the dwindling field, J.C. Tran and Joe Sebok doubled up, while L.A. Lakers Guard Jordan Farmar was eliminated. Also hitting the exits was “Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander, whose opponent made trips on the river.
Finally, “The Nuts” featured Chad and Hellmuth taking turns in a dunk tank. After Chad, a southpaw, finally sent Hellmuth to a watery demise, he commented, “I took more pleasure out of dunking you than anything in my whole life. That was two honeymoons rolled into one.”
